For those with limited time, this tour in the Zagora desert is ideal choice. After exploring Atlas mountains and Ouarzazate we will make our first steps in the Moroccan desert. DAY 1: MARRAKESH – OUARZAZATE – ZAGORA
Departing from Marrakesh, you will head South through the full length of the Atlas Mountains on the Tishka Pass at 2600m, a winding, panoramic road with unrivalled views. You will make your first stop at the ancient Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, bridging the mountains with the desert. Following this you will visit Ouarzazate – the gateway town to the Sahara. Local guides are included in the price of the trip. The terrain changes drastically from here – from the height and beauty of the mountains to the arid moonscape of the Sahara, where you will eventually reach your destination of Zagora via Draa Valley. You will travel to the Berber camp on a camel in time for sunset, and experience a Berber evening with incredible and compulsory stargazing.
DAY 2: ZAGORA – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKESH
After sunrise pictures you can have your breakfast early in the morning, then we will take our camels again, when the camel ride is over we will drive back to Marrakech through Ouarzazate where we can visit the cinema studios that served as a decor for many famous movies for example , the Mummy , the Mummy Returns , the Last Temptation of The Christ… Of course you have all the time to take pictures .
